Remember Schuey going very very fast in Germany? Well, another member has joined this list. This time, 2nd in the F1 Championship this year, Lewis Hamilton (in a Mercedes, of course) was doing 196km/h in France! He has been given a suspension on his licence for a month and fined $1011.

I suspect that Ron Dennis was doing this when the news was given:

BTW this was in Laon in Northern France and his car was also detained.

I must ask why isn't he driving a McLaren F1?

Geez, Ron, you taught him a lot but you didn't need to teach him too much!

It's a bit of a shame to see a young F1 driver getting into trouble only in his first season.
