Now, now before you read this this isn't like I'm apologizing for something I've done wrong to the forum, this is much different.
This was a really historic day for Kevin Rudd, and the Stolen Generation.

At Canberra today the Rudd Government and the Opposition broadcast a message everywhere (except my school, amazingly, well I didn't hear the message anyway) and yeah, apologized for all the Aboriginal people taken from their families, known as the Stolen Generation.

It was an historic day, but for now I don't have videos of the apology.

Yeah, someone at school taped the ABC1 broadcast of the apology, and we were shown it during the most inconvenient time (an elective class ).

Of course, you had the usual people that have to screw it up for everyone else (have some respect!!!!), but there was a little thing called karma, and every that was talking and just being an idiot (including my little sister) was made to write a 1/2 page report on the apology.

We had it via the PA system, and we also watched it on the net via SMART boards. Good on him for having the courage to apologize

Now that Rudd has apologized, I'm hoping that this will be the last time we apologize for something WE (as in our current generation) didn't do...

You all need to go to the Northern Territory.... It is the half-cast *idiots* on the east-coast that wreck their image! They are the most friendliest people ever! I just can't image how ashamed some of the elders out in the middle of nowhere (ie the Anagnu tribe @ Uluru) are to say that those *idiots* are [partly] of their race...
