Back to Singapore?
This is massive, massive news.
Wow.
Auto Action wrote:Singapore's F1 night race could be supported by a V8 Supercar event as early as next year.
Supercars supremo Tony Cochrane will meet with Singapore GP officials at Albert Park to discuss adding the V8's to the support race program in 2009 or 2010.
"We're probably going to talk about that during the Australian Grand Prix." He revealed. "But it's certainly a possibility for 2009 or 2010."
With overseas rounds in New Zealand and Bahrain, Singapore would be one of a maximum of two extra foreign events that V8SA could consider.
Cochrane added that international expansion was being driven by overseas TV interest.
"It's now a major part of our income streams of our TV arm. So we have to look after that, we have to give that some attention, but I think we've done it without losing focus in Australia.
Wow.
Re: Back to Singapore?
I see now they are looking for an Oran Park replacement.
I would support the race if it itself was also held at night.

Re: Back to Singapore?
Apparently Singapore are looking for events during a long day. The F1 race itself will be run from late afternoon to early night.
