I saw this last night on the news, and apparently the Barbegallo circuit need about $10 Million dollars to keep the track going after 2009.

If we do loose it, which I hope we don't, it will be a great loss! It is a fantastic track and the racing is always on-the-edge-of-your-seat stuff! Except overtaking is a bit skimpy...

Just the battles make it interesting, like this year, Skaife and Tander. Then the same thing in 2006 with Skaife and Lowndes. The battles never stop since being a short circuit.

Apparently it will be replaced by either a street race in Perth or a Bunbury race.
