Pre-Season Predictions

What are your predictions on the 2008 V8 Supercar Series? Who do you think will win? Who might have a turn in luck? Who will be the dominant team?

Well Whincup will one to watch out for, same as Frosty... FPR seem to have got over reliability issues, so now they'll probably start winning more often. Tander might be in the top 3 again next year, but dunno if HRT will be as 'safe' as HSVDT was... Lowndes? Well he may be just the man who could make or break the #1 spot grab @ the end...

My turn. I think that it will be either Tander or Whincup for the title and Skaife will crack the top 5. HRT might finish 3rd again, with Team Vodafone 1st, FPR 2nd. If Stve Owen gets a drive, he might finish in the top 15.

Add both Lowndes and Winterbottom to the list and I agree with you...

SBR will gain more rel;iability like they did at the end of the year.

I see you don't rate Holden's chances of winning Bathurst very highly.....Don't worry, I am only joking. The way they went this year, they might be a dark horse.

Who's a dark horse? Car 51? Car 55? Let's just hope that the same Holden's (and Ford's with 3 additions) demise this year, thanks. I didn't like the 4th placing too much personally but Surfers redeemed it for Jase and Murph. I thought either one of them would get a podium and now I have Dean Canto to thank.

Yes, yes. Tasman were the best Holden this year and lost by a second and don't forget 2005 when it was second by only 2.49 seconds. And if it was anyone else but Jase spearing off in 2006 I reckon he had a shot. He was in 6th at the time and taking (on average) a car nearly every two laps.
