*SPOILER* WRC Monte results
Day 1:
1 Sebastien Loeb (Citroen) 23:38.4 seconds
2 Dani Sordo (Citroen) at 12.7 seconds
3 Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) at 44.0 seconds
4 Chris Atkinson (Subaru) at 58.6 seconds
5 Francois Duval (Ford) at 1:13.5
6 Petter Solberg (Subaru) at 1:14.5
7 Gigi Galli (Ford) at 1.26.1
8 Toni Gardemeister (Suzuki) at 1:53.1
9 Jean-Marie Cuoq (Peugeot) at 2:09.2
10 Khaled Al-Qassimi (Ford) at 2:59.0
Surprising there towards the bottom with some surprising names, but it sounds like Loeb and Citroen will dominate again at the last Monte Carlo rally before it is "rested" in 2009. Sordo looks like he is taking it to the next level. Can't wait to see how he goes as lead driver someday. Atko did well although he is in a "old" car (considering he waits 6 months for the new STi Rally).

Re: *SPOILER* WRC Monte results
What happened to Latvala? He should be in the top 10 in Hirvonen's old ride. Good to see Toni get a good start in the Suzuki. Oh yes, I'm thinking of getting a "resident" WRC runner here!!!
And, last of all, just for fun, the first stage was covered with ice!!!

Re: *SPOILER* WRC Monte results
More results now... Loeb is running very fast-ish from the rest of the field...

If you want to know what happened to Khalid al Qassimi he crashed. Latvala was 15th after day 1 but is storming back.

Re: *SPOILER* WRC Monte results
Edited your post Mike, so now people can get live timing... And it appears that Saudo is in the the overall lead! [as of 7:15 26/1/08]
Re: *SPOILER* WRC Monte results
Wow. What happened to Seb the high flying frog? It's 3.8 seconds, maybe he crashed. Maybe Latvala did as well, which could explain why he is in 33rd. On another note, the guy whom V8 SuperChat hopes to get as our resident rally driver is 4th and in touching distance of Hirvonen. I agree that Hirvonen is today's equivalent of a one Ari Vatole *spelling*, driving fast but on the edge. He is within touching distance of a win. But it's Citroen V Ford V Suby at the front. It'd be great for Sordo to get a win, but better for Atko.
Re: *SPOILER* WRC Monte results
MASSIVE NEWS: Sordo has stopped at SS11, the third stage of day 2!
Which means Loeb leads, Hirvonen second and Atko third!
