Release Date: 17/12/2007
V8 Supercars Australia will next year host two official team test days in February for the media and the public to see the new 2008 driver line-ups, car liveries and teams in action for the first time.
There will be one official test day at Winton Raceway on February 12 and the other at Queensland Raceway on February 14. It is expected the test days will consist of all Victorian teams testing at Winton and Queensland teams at Queensland Raceway. Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series teams are also invited to attend.
The media and the public are welcome to attend either day. With significant driver movement and new sponsorship arrangements it is a unique opportunity to see these new look teams prior to the start of the Championship at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.
Who: V8 Supercar Championship Series drivers and teams
When: Tuesday February 12 Winton Raceway, Thursday February 14 Queensland Raceway
Time: 9am-5pm Winton Raceway, 8am-6pm Queensland Raceway
Venue: Winton Raceway, Queensland Raceway
The days will be themed as a mini race day and official timing will be available at both. V8 Supercars Australia is talking to both venues with a view to implementing a ‘gold coin’ admission with all monies going to official charity Variety Australia.
